The Truth of Yoga Retreat (UK)
I'm excited to be launching a retreat and I'd love you to join me! It's a long weekend at the end of August (25-28), and we'll be exploring what makes yoga authentic, bringing its philosophy and history to life through discussion and practices. The setting is a beautiful location in the Forest of Dean (near Gloucester in the west of England), with a yoga pavilion overlooking the gardens. This is a great opportunity to study in depth and share ideas with a diverse group. The format is accessible and fun, and everyone is welcome. Space is limited, so secure your place today.
Truth and Justice: An Online Retreat
What exactly is dharma? This complex word has a wide range of meanings, from the basis of natural order to social duties. Join us for an online retreat (August 22–23) to explore its implications in times of upheaval, with a focus on finding our purpose by acting with virtue. We will consider how to determine what is true, when it is right to resist injustice and by what means, and which underlying principles shape ethical conduct. There will be a mixture of study, discussion and practice, reflecting on how ancient teachings apply to modern challenges.
Beyond Isolation: An Online Retreat
As we look forward to emerging from isolation, this weekend immersion (May 23-24) explores how yoga philosophy and Sanskrit can help us to nurture collective consciousness. We’ll be reading and chanting from texts, and discussing their practical relevance in challenging times. As taught in the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutra, an important goal of yoga is to alleviate suffering. We will consider this in two different ways that are ultimately one: taking care of the self and the world as a whole. Newcomers to Sanskrit welcome!
The Nature Retreat
I invite you to join me and Corrie Preece for a week of immersion in yogic inquiry (11-18 July). In a beautiful setting, away from distractions, we’ll weave together philosophy, postural practice and subtle techniques with transformative power. Our focus is on nurturing connection and community, exploring how yoga enriches our lives. We’ve found a magical place in the Portuguese hills, with acres of trails and idyllic wild swimming spots. We’ll eat homegrown food and sleep outdoors in comfortable tipis and geodesic domes. Early bird prices until 31 March.
