Foundations of Yoga Philosophy

Hosted at truthofyoga.com

Join me for an online immersion in early Upanishads – exploring everything from yoga philosophy to contemporary echoes in popular culture.

This engaging course puts the texts into context and unpacks their teachings. The word upanishad refers to connections, and the course aims to make one itself – relating ancient wisdom to modern priorities.

We'll focus in detail on a range of Upanishads, discussing where they come from and how they present things. We’ll also look at extracts from half a dozen others, and passages of commentary from teachers of Vedanta.

Together, we'll trace key themes that provide the foundations of yoga philosophy, as well as the earliest frameworks for practice. We’ll also reflect on links between the Vedas and Upanishads, as well as their influence on later traditions.

The course is accessible and fun, combining video presentations with recorded discussions – plus there's a forum for asking questions at your convenience, and an option to book one-to-one tutorials.
