Get empowered to find deeper fulfilment in relationships
This process starts with a better relationship with yourself. Join a group of men who are on the same journey to improve your skills for relational life – whether that's with a partner or anyone else…
Relationships are often the source of our greatest joys – and our greatest challenges. We all have a need to connect with others, to express what’s inside us and be seen for who we are. But that’s not always what happens.
Many of us struggle to share how we feel because we fear being rejected. We might say “yes” when we really mean “no’, or shut down in ways that once helped us feel safe but now hold us back.
These patterns can block us in friendships, in our dealings with family members and colleagues, and above all with intimate partners. However they manifest, it helps if we:
Get clearer about how we’re feeling
Recognise triggers so they don’t control us
Speak from the heart to express ourselves freely
Develop the capacity to listen more deeply
Find the courage to say “yes” and “no” and mean it
Embody more of who we actually are
As men, we might not have been encouraged to hone these skills when we were younger. But by joining a supportive community, we can be more authentic and make rapid breakthroughs to healthier, deeper and more skilful relationships.
Drawing on a range of practices, we’ll help each other feel confident enough to be vulnerable, saying what we want and setting clear boundaries while remaining receptive. Together, we’ll develop the ingredient that underpins success in all areas of life – the power to relate.
PRACTICALITIES
Our small-scale group meets on Sundays via Zoom (Nov 5, 12, 19 & 26, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, UK time).
There will be “homework” between weekly sessions, with ongoing discussions in a private WhatsApp group.
We also share helpful resources on a dedicated website, including videos with practical guidance.
In exchange for the above, your investment – along with your presence – is £175.
About Us
FAQs
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
We’ve been exploring these ideas for more than 25 years. We share what’s been helpful for us, but part of the appeal of a group-based approach is that we learn from each other.
Why is this only for men?
There aren’t many opportunities for men to come together to share how they feel. We offer a space where we can do that respectfully. Free from any pressure to conform to expectations, we can be as we are – accepting one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
What happens in a session?
Each week has a theme, so we share readings and questions beforehand to help us prepare. We begin with a short meditation, then take turns to explore specific questions, as a group, or in threes. We conclude by harvesting what we’ve discovered, with some general reflections and making commitments for the week ahead.
WHICH THEMES DO WE COVER?
We’re going to be exploring four principal topics: getting clearer about our own feelings; speaking authentically about what matters; learning to listen more deeply; and drawing clear boundaries without shutting down. Each theme will be explored in practice.
Do I ALWAYS have to speak?
It’s not compulsory. You’re always welcome to pass, but the premise of the group is that it’s helpful to share how we actually feel, and supportive for others to hear us.
are recordings available?
No. It’s important to participate live. We’ve found that transformation happens when we all come together to contribute from the heart. Recording our words can inhibit that process.
HOW MUCH WORK IS INVOLVED?
To get the most from the course, we suggest you plan on 20 minutes daily for practical exercises linked to live sessions. There will also be scope to spend more time on reading, reflecting on questions, browsing materials and sharing ideas in our WhatsApp group.
WHY DO YOU CHARGE £175?
We want this work to be sustainable. As freelancers, we’ve balanced our investment (including preparation time) with a price that fairly values what we offer at market rates.
